Our goal is simple: recommend Android apps we would actually keep installed.
We install and use apps on current Android phones before recommending them. We look at setup, everyday usability, performance, permissions and privacy, and price. Where an app needs care, such as heavy permissions, we say so.
The Play Store moves fast. We review our lists on a rolling basis through 2026, drop apps that decline, and add better options as they appear.
Our recommendations are not for sale. No company can pay for a higher spot in a list, and we disclose any affiliate relationship clearly.
